The government has made it possible for applicants to obtain a PAN by contacting the Income Tax PAN Services Unit. Apply for a PAN online by following these simple steps:



Step 1: Go to the website and fill out the application for a new PAN.





Step 2: Choose an application type: New PAN for Indian citizens, or Change/Correction of Existing PAN Data for international citizens.








Step 3: Choose a category, such as an individual, a group of people, or a group of people.






Step 4: Complete the PAN form by entering your name, date of birth, email address, and phone number.




Step 5: After submitting the form, you will receive an email with instructions for the next step.








Step 6: Select "Application Form" from the drop-down menu.








Step 7: You will be taken to the page where you must provide your digital e-mail.








Step 8: Choose if you require a physical card and enter your phone number's last four digits.




Step 9: Fill in your personal information and other contact information in the form's following section.




Step 10: Fill in your zip code, type, and other information in this section of the form. These details are also available in the tab below.








Step 11: The document submission statement is the final section of the form.








Step 12: Submit the application by entering the first eight digits of your PAN card. You'll be able to see the completed form. If no changes are required, click Next.




Step 13: To check Proof of Identity, Address, and Date of Birth, select the e- option, fill in all fields, and click Proceed to continue.




Step 14: You will be routed to the payment section, where you must pay by demand draught, debit/credit card, or banking.








Step 15: If the payment is successful, a payment receipt will be generated. Continue by pressing the Enter key.




Step 16: For authentication, tick declaration and choose "Authenticate" from the drop-down menu.




Step 17: Select "Continue with e-" to receive an e-mail to the mobile phone associated with.




Step 18: Fill out the form and submit it.




Step 19: Next, click "Continue with e-Sign," and then input your 12-digit phone number. A text message will be sent to the phone number associated with.




Step 20: Fill out the application and submit it to receive an acknowledgement slip with your date of birth as the password.

Offline PAN Card Application


The applicant can also apply for a PAN card using an offline approach. They can go to a nearby TIN centre and complete the following steps:
